Successful event
The 1st World Congress on Enforced Disappearances took place two months ago in Geneva, Switzerland, marking a historic gathering of over 620 in-person participants and 1,200 online attendees from 118 countries.
Organized by CEDI, the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED), the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Congress provided a platform for sharing experiences, coordinating efforts, developing recommendations, and making pledges towards collective action to eradicate enforced disappearances.
Many thanks to all partners and participants for making this event a success.
